Purchasing and Product Expert
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing and Product Expert to join Ristretto. As a Purchasing and Product Expert, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and sourcing activities for Ristretto components and products. You will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure the availability of high-quality components and products that meet our company's standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, supply chain management, and a deep understanding of the eBike industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of Ristretto components and products.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, new product developments, and emerging suppliers.
Collaborate with the product development team to define product requirements and specifications.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, purchase order creation, order tracking, and delivery coordination.
Monitor and analyze supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth production and timely product launches.
Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews, providing feedback and implementing improvement initiatives as needed.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, including contracts, pricing information, and supplier documentation.
Stay informed about industry regulations, UL certifications, and compliance requirements related to eBike components and products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in purchasing or supply chain management are a plus.
Proven experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the eBike or Emotorbike industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and sourcing strategies.
Familiarity with eBike components, such as motors, batteries, frames, controls, and electronic systems.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on achieving favorable terms and conditions.
Proficient in using purchasing software and tools, and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Analytical mindset and ability to analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and product specifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export requirements is desirable.
