Industrial Designer
We are currently seeking a talented and creative Industrial Designer to join our eBike company. As an Industrial Designer, you will have a significant impact on the conceptualization and design of innovative and visually appealing eBike products. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, will be crucial in bringing your designs to life.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who possesses a strong passion for eBikes, exhibits a keen eye for detail, and has a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the product development team to create and refine design concepts for new eBike models, components, and accessories.
Conduct research on industry trends, user preferences, and market demands to inform design decisions and ensure alignment with customer needs.
Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design concepts and ideas effectively.
Develop detailed product specifications, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes, to guide the engineering and manufacturing teams.
Generate technical drawings and documentation for prototyping, tooling, and production purposes.
Work closely with engineers to ensure that design concepts can be translated into functional and manufacturable eBike products.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create visual assets, including product images, packaging designs, and marketing materials, to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
Conduct product testing and iterate on designs based on feedback, usability testing, and performance evaluations.
Stay updated on emerging design trends, technologies, and materials relevant to the eBike industry, and incorporate innovative ideas into product designs.
Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to enhance the overall design quality and user experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Industrial Designer, preferably in the bicycle, automotive, or consumer electronics industry.
Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects, including consumer products and preferably eBike-related designs.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360), and rendering tools.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques relevant to eBike design.
Knowledge of ergonomic principles, human-centered design, and user experience (UX) considerations.
Ability to effectively communicate design concepts through sketches, renderings, and 3D models.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in design documentation and technical drawings.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to diverse stakeholders.
