eBike Mechanic (Austin Based)


 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced eBike Mechanical Expert, Austin baseed to join our team. As an eBike Mechanical Expert, you will be responsible for the client support center, fixing, development, and testing of eBike mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. You will work closely with the engineering and product development teams to ensure the successful execution and the delivery of high-quality products and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in eBike fixing, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical systems and components for eBikes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and performance requirements.

  • Taking care of our costumers and their needs everytime there is something going on with their ebikes.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, analyze design options, and provide recommendations for optimal mechanical solutions.

  • Perform mechanical calculations and simulations to validate designs and optimize performance.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the timely procurement and production of mechanical components and systems.

  • Conduct testing and validation of eBike prototypes and production models, including performance, durability, and safety tests.

  • Analyze test data, identify issues or areas for improvement, and collaborate with the engineering team to implement design modifications.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement, throughout the product development and production processes.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in eBike mechanical systems to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in eBike engineering or product development are a plus or a bast experience as a mechanic.

  • Proven experience in mechanical design, engineering, and development, preferably in the eBike or bicycle industry.

  • Strong understanding of eBike mechanical systems, including frames, drivetrains, suspension systems, and braking systems.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and production techniques relevant to eBike manufacturing.

  • Experience with mechanical testing, analysis, and validation methods, including performance testing, fatigue analysis, and environmental testing.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing eBike design and safety, such as EN 15194, ISO 4210, and relevant eBike motor and battery standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams, external suppliers and customers.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
